Want to adopt a pet? Looking to show some rescue animals some love? Just love pets and want to celebrate them? Seeking out a family-friendly day of music, games, and activities outside? Come out to the W 103rd Open Street’s Barking Day on October 15th
From 12pm-4pm, the Animal Care Centers of New York will be out on the street with pets of all kinds up for adoption! We’ll also be running a donation drive for them, so bring some pet food, paper towels, and toys!
Throughout the day we’ll have dog trainers and pet care experts from NYC Dog Nanny and Far Fetched, pet communication sessions from Shira’s Place, and a dog acupuncture demonstration from Dr. Jeff, a licensed NYC housecall vet with 20+ years of experience.
We’ll also have a drag show hosted by @bellanochenyc with @trashketchumnyc and @damiendemise to kick the event off, followed by live music from Dr. Jeff and Lizzie Blazquez (@lizzieblazquez), alongside backgammon lessons, crafts, sketch art, street chalk, and more!
